3D PopOuts!

3D PopOut Butterflies in Baby Pink -by Decorette

Our latest collection is a range of 3D Wall Art PopOuts! I considered naming these "Popettes" (since my decals are named "Decorettes" and my clocks named "Clockettes". But decided that sounded a but too weird, so "PopOuts" it is!

These butterflies are made from thin acrylic only 1mm thick (or thin, depending which way you look at it) and so they are also waterproof.

Stick them onto walls in children's rooms, playrooms, living halls, or even onto glass panels like in bathroom, or on kitchen doors or balcony windows (to make them visible!).

These add such a charm to your space and are so effortless to put up. Simply bend the wings a little to about a 35 degree angle, peel off the adhesive backing and press firmly to your surface to stick.

Public Garden Flea Market

We had so much fun showcasing our Pattern Rollers at the Public Garden Flea Market last weekend!

Held at the National Museum of Singapore for the very first time, it was a wonderful showcase of eclectic and free-spirited vendors on vintage and the arts.

Patterned Paint Rollers

We created some sample boards for our range of Patterned Paint Rollers today and I'm so excited to update our pics on the website! Here's a sneak preview of the boards...."

These are so fun (and easy) to use and you can easily update the look of your walls with your favourite roller design and colour. If you're not game to try them on your walls, you can even paint on paper (to create your own unique gift wrapping paper) or fabric (for a personalized and crafty DIY touch to curtains, cushions or sheets). Practice makes perfect! Once you've used them, you'll be racking your brains thinking of where else to use these because the effect is just gorgeous.

Just one roller applicator is required and you can reuse and interchange with any of the pattern rollers for a multitude of designs.

Have you heard? We're expanding to include these awesome Patterned Paint Rollers to our range of DIY wall decor products! 

Pattern Rollers allow you to create your very own feature wall without the cost of wallpapering.  For those of you who love DIY crafts and are looking for an inexpensive way to decorate your walls, this is such an awesome product, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to use! Even if you can't draw a straight line, it's so easy to use the corners of your wall as your guide and roll these patterns down your surface.

We'll bring you a "How-To" video very shortly so you can see how easy it is!

And it's not just walls, use these on paper to create patterned giftwrapping paper, or even on fabric to create your own patterned material!

So how does it work?

There are two parts to the roller system - the Applicator and the Pattern Rollers. All rollers are interchangeable and reusable with both our Applicators. Select the right applicator based on the surface you are using this on - the Standard Applicator works on both painted walls and paper, while the 2-colour Applicator works on painted walls (with the option of having 2 colours) and also on fabric.

Then, using any water based paint in a colour of your choice, you are ready to roll away! As you roll, the Pattern Roller picks up a thin, uniform layer of paint from the Applicator and transfers this onto your surface. Viola! You can now DIY Wall Murals, make patterned gift-wrapping paper, or pattern your fabrics, in any design and colour of your choice!

Filling an Empty Wall Space

Empty wall spaces can create the illusion of a bigger space - especially big white walls - but sometimes, too much blank space can be well... boring!

Instead of staring at a blank wall day in day out, spruce up your walls easily and instantly (compared to having to stencil or paint) with some inspirational quotes, bible verses and pretty floral designs with decals. If you haven't given these a shot before, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the outcome!

At Decorette, we use only the highest quality material imported from Europe so the material is very durable (lasts 3-4 years in good conditions indoors) whilst also thin, so designs look virtually painted on - your guests won't believe they are stickers! Decorating Glass Doors with Decals

If you have squeaky clean glass doors at home, in your shop, or at the office, you'd know how important it is to make these "seen" so people don't accidentally walk into them. Funny to bystanders, not so funny for the person involved! Have you ever seen this video of a man running through a glass door? It's hilarious! p.s. no racism intended.

Ok, so he ran through the door, not because he couldn't see it, but because he just wanted to get through it (quite literally). 

Anyway, the point is to make glass doors obvious so people do not run into them - accidental or not. Especially if you have kids at home who run around at a lower eye level... so one solution is to use decals to dress up your glass doors. Read on to see how you can use our decals at Decorette to make those glass doors pretty :)

These pictures show  how you can use our "Clover Pattern" decals as a "floor-to-ceiling", or horizontal strip design to create a subtle yet obvious enough effect on your doors.  

The best thing about these designs is that they are so versatile, you can use them vertically or horizontally depending on your preference and space - and they look great either way!

For even more subtle touches, experiment with our Frosted range of colours (available in White, Rose Pink or Lux Gold - all equally gorgeous!). This material is semi-translucent so it creates a gorgeous (frosty) sandblasted effect, adding instant glam to your plain glass doors.

Inspired by our own baby girl on the way, here are some of our latest decal designs great for decorating the nursery for your little one!

So.... (I admit with slight hesitation - after all, everyone wants something unique all for themselves...) I decided to list this in our store so everyone gets a chance to decorate with this gorgeous tree as well!

Trust me, it's HUUUUGE. It reaches pretty much the top of the wardrobe (which is about 220cm tall) and creates a nice flowy, embracing feel as it sort of cradles over the top of the crib. I love it! 

You can select colours of the leaves to match the theme of your room - pastel pinks if it's a girly girl sort of room, or pastel blue like in the picture shown in our store for a boy's room. Or, you could even put make it more "adult" and just go with a pure black or white silhouette for a neutral feel. Great for living or study rooms or at the entrance doorway of your home.

We finally got around to making our own "How To" video to showcase how easy it is to install our decals, even the large ones that require piecing together.  It's taken a while, but I'm so glad I finally got this done and hope it provides a good explanation of how to put our decals up.

So our customer asked us to create an "urban street feel" for their new cafe at NTU's Innovation Centre and we were more than happy to be a part of their project. I love decorating new places and giving them a totally new look with Decorettes!

Decorating with Floral Patterns

Decorating empty spaces using floral patterns can create quite an amazing transformation! As individual floral motifs, these are so versatile, you can place them however you like to suit your space and create your own unique look (unless of course you have no creative sense whatsoever, then there's nothing wrong in just following how we do it!).

If it's been a while since you've redecorated, why not rejuvenate your homes with these floral decals - you'll be surprised at what a difference they make! A fun, yet affordable way of sprucing up any empty space, whether big or small.

Here are some ways you can use our floral decals in your homes:

• Drape the flowers around a corner to make it look more cosy (and less empty!);

• Create a "wallpaper pattern" on a large mirror or glass door - it may just save someone from walking into it! 
• Strategically stick them on shower screens to create that little bit of privacy (with a bit of class);
  
• Randomly place them around pillars to make these sometimes obtrusive objects a little more appealing;
• Stick them on those blank white (and boring!) Ikea tables, chairs, shelves, etc to make it that little bit more special!
