FAQ Series #1

A lot of people may already know what wall decals are, yet many may not have heard of this "thing" before and have absolutely no idea how it works or what it does (much like myself when I first came across it). This FAQ series is designed to help you gain a better understanding of what a wonderful and functional product wall decals are - and be warned, anything fun can be addictive!

What Are Decorettes?
Decorette is our line of wall decal designs specially cut and hand finished from ultra thin, high quality matte vinyl. This vinyl has a low tack removable adhesive, allowing the decals to be stuck onto any flat surface and removed without leaving any sticky residue or harm to most surfaces.

How Long Will Decorettes Last?
Indoors, these decals will last between 3 to 5 years as long as it is not too humid and away from direct sunlight. Outdoors, their lifespan is about 2 to 3 years before they may start to peel.

Will Decorettes Harm My Wall?
Generally, these vinyl decals will peel off without leaving any sticky residue or harm to the surface. However, it is impossible to guarantee this for all wall conditions, depending on the exposure (sunlight) it gets, the type of paint on the walls and how old the paint is. In some cases, there may be some minor paint flecking that will require touch ups when the decals are peeled off. If you have freshly painted walls, it’s best to let them dry for up to 3 weeks before attempting to stick vinyl decals on. Paper and wallpaper surfaces are not suitable unless a permanent adhesion is expected.

Are Decorettes Re-Usable?
No, the decals are “removable” but once they are peeled off, they are not reusable.
